As per the tradition of USMLE last year, this year also it has been announced by NBME & FSMB that students who will be taking exam from mid-May through late June 2012 will experience a delay in their score reporting. Normally Step 1 results for the candidates are announced within four weeks.
Why are the results being late?
There are two main reasons for this delay:
- Huge number of American Medical Graduates (AMGs) giving United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) in USA.
- The pool of questions is modified in this time period.
How much delay will be seen in results?
All Step 1 examinees giving exam from mid-May through late June 2012 will see their result on Wednesday, July 11, 2012
