Fried egg appearance is a term used in pathology to describe abnormal cells found in some diseases.
Causes
- Mycoplasma Pneumoniae fried egg colonies on Eaton agar
- Oligodendroglioma
- Hairy cell leukemia on bone marrow biopsy
- Seminoma on light microscopy
- Parietal cells of the stomach due to acidophilic cytoplasm & large central nuclei.
