Vitamin is one of the vital nutrients required by the body. It is considered as one of the deciding factors for overall growth of the body. Every vitamin contributes equally in the process of development and lack of anyof the vitamins can hamper the process.

Among all the vitamins, vitamin E has an essential role to play as it carries several properties including that of antioxidants. Talking of vitamin E, it is group of eight fat-soluble vitamins also termed as tocotrienols and tocopherols.

Anemia: According to research, intake of vitamin E enhances the effect of erythropoietin. Erythropoietin is a hormone synthesized by kidney. It helps in the production of red blood cells which carries oxygen from the lungs to the body.

Dysmenorrhea: It is also termed as menstrual cramps. Use of Vitamin E 2 days prior to the date of menstruation and continuing its use till next 3 days from the date of beginning of bleeding helps reduce the severity and duration of pain. Also, itcan decrease the loss of menstrual blood.

Dementia: According to research, men who consume vitamin C and vitamin E are less susceptible to several forms of dementia. However, it does not prevent the risk of Alzheimer’s Dementia.

Male infertility: Administration of vitamin E via mouth by men enhances pregnancy rates for men who have concerns related to fertility. However, high dose of vitamin E along with vitamin C is not equally effective and apparently, does not provide the same benefits.

Sunburns: Administering high dose of vitamin E(RRR-alpha-tocopherol) along with vitamin C, via mouth reduces the risk of skin inflammation post exposure to UV radiation. However, consumption of vitamin E Alone cannot provide the same benefit.

Applying mixture of vitamin C, vitamin E and melatonin also provide protection against inflammation due to exposure. However, the mixture should be applied before UV exposure.

Movement disorder:The condition is termed as tardive dyskinesia. Consumption of vitamin E assist in relieving the symptoms associated with the movement disorder.

However, according to some reports which are concluded after some research, the use of vitamin E doesn’t help in relieving the associated symptoms of Tardive disorder but prevent from worsening.

Bladder cancer: If vitamin E is being is administered orally for more than 10 years, and then it reduces the chance of death due to bladder cancer.

Kidney disorders: The condition is also termed as glomerulosclerosis.  According to proven facts, vitamin E when administered via mouth improves the kidney functioning in children who are suffering with glomerulosclerosis.

G6PD deficiency:  The condition is an inherited disorder.According to evidence, vitamin E when administered via mouth along with selenium assists people in overcoming the concern. Sometimes, the same benefit can be gained by just vitamin E consumption also.

Parkinson’s disease: Itis defined as a disorder of central nervous system that affects the movement and tremors are also experienced. The research suggest that intake of vitamin E decreases the risk of Parkinson’s disease.

However, there is no such effect is found in case of synthetic vitamin E (all-rac-alpha-tocopherol).

Dyspraxia: It is a condition of movement and coordination disorder. Vitamin E when consumed with thyme oil, fish oil and evening primrose oil seems to improve the disorder in children.

Granuloma annulare: It is defined as type of skin sore. Applying vitamin E to the affected contributesin healing the sore. It assists in clearing up the skin sores.

However, it is necessary to know about the side effects and possible interactions before using vitamin E.
