Prostate cancer is a serious and extremely dangerous disease. It is the second most popular type of cancer among men. You might think it doesn’t concern you because you feel healthy. But what you think might not necessarily be a reflection on what is happening inside your body. We are all afraid of cancer, as you never know who will have to fight it next. To take some of that worry away, you should get into the prevention game. Lowering the risk of getting sick is the best you can do for your family and yourself. Here are a few tips that help prevent prostate cancer.

Stay active

It shouldn’t be a surprise that getting enough exercise and being generally fit reduces the risk of most diseases, prostate cancer included. Increasing the level of your activity is crucial for a healthy body and mind. There is no time for laziness if you want to live a long, healthy life. Being obese or overweight is linked to a higher risk of aggressive prostate cancer.

Fortunately, there isn’t one type of exercise that you should do. You can mix things up. Walks, swimming and cycling are all recommended. But you can achieve a higher level of activity also by increasing the frequency of sexual intercourse. Your partner will probably appreciate this way of taking care of yourself as well. And if you don’t have a partner at the moment, you might look for a realistic sex doll. There is nothing wrong with experimenting, especially when you lower cancer risk at the same time.

Feel the real power of coffee

For once, a medical tip that doesn’t require you to lower your coffee intake. Actually, the opposite is recommended. Having one more cup of this delicious drink decreases the risk of fatal cancer. Clinical studies show that having four to five cups a day is preventing prostate cancer. But even if you are not interested in drinking so much coffee, please know that every cup lowers the risk of fatal disease by eleven per cent. Remember not to turn into a coffee addict, drinking anything over 400 milligrams of caffeine daily is dangerous for the heart. So find your sweet spot with coffee, and bottoms up.

Reduce dairy

People cutting on dairy is a global trend. Why is it happening? Because of the way dairy products are processed, and how many artificial things are added to increase the shelf-life of certain products. Research shows that diets that include a lot of milky products and high-level of calcium increase the risk of prostate cancer. The impact of this type of food doesn’t seem to be significant, but any kind of risk is dangerous.

Make red your favourite colour

Red is a colour of love, and you should most definitely love your body. So eat more red foods. Studies show that men who consume a lot of red fruits and vegetables have a lower risk of prostate cancer than those who go for less red in their diet. Why red? Because red foods are rich in antioxidants called lycopene, that helps to decrease the risk of cancer. Tomatoes seem to be the best of all red foods out there. The general rule is as follows, the more ripe and red your fruit or vegetable is, the better.

Quit smoking

Smoking is a real devil when it comes to increasing the risk of cancer. Prostate cancer patients are more likely to have a recurrence of the sickness if they smoke regularly. Smokers also have to face a higher risk of dying of prostate cancer. Avoid cigarettes and other smoking products at all costs. If you quit smoking, you will reduce the risk of mortality to the level that occurs for men who never smoked in their life. It is never too late to stop bad habits.

Choose the right fats

By now, you must know that eliminating fats from your diet entirely is not a good move. It is a myth that all fats are bad for you. You need to watch the number of fatty things you eat and watch over the quality of the fats in your diet. Yes, there are healthy and unhealthy fats. The most important one to indulge is a fatty acid, called omega-3. You can find it in some fish, like salmon, and certain plant foods, like beans or berries.

Prostate cancer is a disease that could be the future of many men. It is scary and dangerous to your life plans. If you have the opportunity, ask your doctor about your personal risk of developing this type of cancer. Then reduce it as much as you can. It would help if you always took care of yourself, especially about your health, something that money can’t buy.
