As per FDI (Federation Dentaire Internationale) World Dental Federation, more than 3.9 million people bear dental issues in the world. This stat illustrates a lot about the bad eating habits and improper dental care.

What are dental issues?

It can be anything including – gum disease, cavities, gum bleeding or swelling, exposed roots, fractured teeth, tooth enamel, etc. All these dental issues begin with poor eating habits and timings. Whatever you eat or sip in not just leaves a delectable taste on your tongue but teeth too. For instance – a sticky candy or chocolate particles when stuck in any teeth can result in painful cavities.

Here are some other dental issues along with their respective dietary plan to prefer.

Braces Treatment –

Whether you agree or not, braces are extremely delicate to handle and care. Right from avoiding hard to chewy food items, there are a lot of precautionary measures to consider. Therefore, having these items is best to have healthy teeth and unbreakable braces.

  2. Scrambled eggs
  3. Tofu

  1. Avoid alcohol, spicy food or extremely salty food as it may trigger pain after building acidic elements in the mouth.
  2. Drink as much water as possible.
  3. Chew sugarless candies to stabilize saliva issues.
  4. Prefer to have soup, butter, broth, margarine, mild sauces over spicy ones.
  5. Stop consuming drinks and beverages like – coffee, tea, cola, etc.

Oral surgery –

After oral surgery, hopping on healthy food is a must and that’s what most of the orthodontist suggest. Switch to boiled, law-fat, and liquid diet until you recover completely. Usually, it takes an individual 3-4 weeks for anyone to get back to normal. Till then go for –

  2. Yoghurt
  3. Tortillas
  4. Applesauce
  5. Cooked fruit
  6. Mashed bananas
  7. Paste or noodles
  8. Tuna salad
  9. Custard
  10. Mashed potatoes
  11. shredded chicken
  12. Meatloaf
  13. Hummus
  14. Polenta

Teeth gum swelling issues –

Swelling is common after cavities or any type of dental surgery. Therefore, instead of panicking over the health issue, one must make sure to follow the right dietary plan to obtain better results effectively.

It may include –

  1. Vegetable soup
  2. Curd
  3. Mashed fruits or veggies
  4. Scrambled eggs
  5. Milk

In most dental issues, orthodontists recommend going for soft and easily eatable products which may not affect the teeth anyhow.
